Passionate about perfectionism, pop, contrast and controversy
Melody was born in Guildford in 1984, and went on to live in West London and Hertfordshire.
Endlessly creative and with formal training gained at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, Melody has proved her creative dexterity with works in film, radio and graphic design, but painting and drawing has remained a constant throughout.
Now a professional writer, Melody enjoys the contrast and cathartic nature of painting and has held a number of exhibitions across London and the south.
Melody believes that truly successful art evokes strong feelings or emotions, and her work often explores themes of contrast, commercialism and controversy.
At the heart of her approach to artistic practice is the conviction that creative evolution comes from openness, challenging oneself and refusing to accept defeat, and she is forever found trying new ideas and learning new techniques.
