Cake – A delicious new exhibition for 2019

We’re delighted to announce an exclusive exhibition taking place at Tea Darling, Acton, right now.

Taking inspiration from the works of Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol, this select excerpt from Melody’s acclaimed Sex, Cake and other Celebrities exhibition, features hyper-realistic paintings of sweet treats rendered in candy cute colours, and sketches, that are good enough to eat.

Born in Guildford, Melody has spent much of her life in Ealing. Endlessly creative and with formal digital arts training gained at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, she has demonstrated her creative dexterity in a number of areas including editorial, film, radio and design, but her passion for fine art has remained constant throughout.

Now a professional writer, Melody enjoys the contrast and cathartic nature of painting. This exhibit explores the perfect, sugary sweet imagery we are presented with at every turn, and challenges you not to lick your lips

Tempted? All works are original and available to purchase, but some works have already been reserved, so please do visit soon to avoid missing out.

Get down to Tea Darling, grab yourself a slice of homemade cake and listen to the wireless as you immerse yourself in a bygone era – and maybe take home a piece of unique, almost edible, art.

Where and when
You can see Melody’s work 9-5pm any day of the week, bar Monday, at Tea Darling, Churchfield Rd, Acton.
